Interactive stories to promote road safety

Teaching children road safety from a young age is very important, with the need to point out different things to different age-groups in different ways.

On behalf of the Ministry of Transport, Telecommunication and Energy and in cooperation with Private Moon Studios, we prepared a series of road safety training videos entitled “Útravaló” (“For the road”) for Hungarian schools, assisting teachers and trainers. Each of the 3D animation and live action short films targeting the three age-groups (7-10, 11-15 and 16-18) are based on the same concept: the different episodes contain interactive points with a first person view of the panorama environment. Various pieces of information and hints are available here that help to solve puzzles and problems. The decisions made influence the story; the different versions of videos following each puzzle show the consequences of the right and wrong choices.

In 2008, the product was the winner of eFestival’s “Közérthető eLearning” (“Comprehensible eLearning”) special mention award.
