Feltalált szer-elem (Reinvented love)

A game with different forms of patent protection

We developed “Feltalált szerelem” (“Reinvented love”), a game to introduce the different forms of patent protection in simple and clear terms, for the Hungarian Patent Office. The game is set within a love story, in which our hero attempts to recreate a long-forgotten perfume invented by his grandfather, and woo his sweetheart.

The user is handed control at a point in the story, and henceforth he/she needs to assist the protagonist in reconstructing the invention. Four mini-games symbolise the four different forms of patent protection, solving which leads to the climax of the game.

The game is freely available to all; it was created to increase awareness. In 2007, it received an award in eFestival’s “Interactive storytelling” category.
