ProjectManagement

ProjectManagementThe curriculum entitled ProjectManagement is the most recently launched program of me-Learning® management training e-curriculum series.

Target group

Target group of the ProjectManagement curriculum is top and middle management of large corporations, as well as managers-to-be taking part in management training. There are no special prerequisites to the course, but experience in team work and a familiarity with the background of corporate operations significantly enhance the learning process.

Aim of the training

The aim of ProjectManagement is to familiarize users, in a practice-orientated way, with planning, organizing and other economic procedures as well as management routines that accompany the operation and controlling of projects. Besides transferring the knowledge needed for successful project management the task of the course is also to provide an opportunity for learners to model managerial decision-making concerning simulated projects. Due to the ALEAS® methodology used in the curriculum the e-learning software gives detailed feedback on the project management styles preferred by users as well as on the outcomes of the leadership role of users during the planning and the implementing phases.

Simulation site - a Mount Everest expedition

The essence of me-Learning® curricula is simulation. This means that management-organizational dilemmas are transformed into a "story", and are analyzed as parts of decision-making processes. Users become part of the story, in which they make manager decisions based on the information they gather and resources they dispose of.

In the ProjectManagement curriculum each learner has to get to the top of the Himalaya as a leader of an expedition team. It is the learner who decides on the composition of the team, the methods used for team-building, and the motivation tools applied. S/he can reward participants, exclude them from the project, or perform crisis-management. It is the user who makes decisions independently, and bears all the consequences.
