BrainCracker - History for final exam takers and university entrants

The BrainCracker course contains learning materials belonging to the frame curriculum of secondary schools. This learning material was designed in such a way that enables 9-12 graders to prepare for the final exam and entrance exams on their own. It can also be used for the whole duration of their secondary school studies.



Auxiliary materials used

  • Collection of Maps – 3-5 animated and/or interactive maps belong to each topic
  • Universal and Hungarian historical chronology
  • Picture gallery of historical personalities – presentation of the most important persons by topic, with a brief textual introduction and some illustrations (standing or moving pictures)
  • Glossary of concepts – textual explanation of the most important concepts in each topic, complemented by graphs
  • Collection of Textual Documents – the texts from the most important written documents and historical works linked to the individual topics
  • Collection of Audio-Visual Documents (sound and picture gallery) – audio materials, standing and moving pictures linked to the topics,
  • Workbook – varied, occasionally playful exercises for each topic, based on the databases of the above collections and galleries

Digital auxiliary educational materials make learning history more transparent and accessible thanks to their systematicity and systems of references. The audio-visual and interactive elements help the process of knowledge transfer and knowledge acquisition enormously.
